BAAMS’ 2024-25 After-School & Saturday Music Instruction Registration

At BAAMS, we are 100% committed to each of our students' growth and success. We base our approach on our Founder and Executive Director's Teaching Methodology, The HTF Learning Approach (inspired by Richard's many years of private study with Freddie Hubbard, Donald Byrd, and Ludmila Ulehla) which teaches our students their musical instrument is an amplifier for what they are Hearing, Thinking, and Feeling.

Building on our over 30 years of teaching with HTF and working with thousands of children (and adults) and a truly world-class music faculty who currently are also faculty/members of the Berklee College of Music, The Juilliard School, the "Saturday Night Live" Band as well as past members who also toured and recorded with such diverse, iconic artists as: Miles Davis, Prince, Pink, Quincy Jones, Janet Jackson, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Freddie Hubbard, The Allman Brothers Band, Paul McCartney, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, and many others — BAAMS students receive a one-of-a-kind, unmatched, and transformational experience.

BAAMS students not only receive top-tier instruction on their primary chosen instrument, but also receive additional training in piano, drums, improvisation, and music composition. These added skills are invaluable to help each student grow to become a complete, and successful musician.

Finally, BAAMS students build friendships and become part of a community that supports and helps each to grow and develop their individual talents and realize their own potential.

BAAMS teaching focuses on what we feel are the most essential and proven strategies for students' musical growth and success.

Testimonials

Ron Blake, Faculty, The Juilliard School; NBC’s Saturday Night Live Band; Composer/Sound Design: A Bedtime Project (on streaming platforms)

It is in my humble opinion that BAAMS could have a pronounced effect on North Adams, Berkshire County, and the surrounding area. The social and creative development made available through this program would create a positive and lasting effect for students and be very impactful for education in the community as well.

I would like to thank Mr. Boulger for the opportunity and look forward to working with the program in the future.
